Jack’s Mannequin headlined the House of Blues in Cleveland on January 29th. Opening the show was soulful R&B singer Allen Stone who has an incomparable voice and soul that radiates onstage and off, followed by indie pop rock trio Jukebox The Ghost that featured playful piano tunes that set the mood for the evening. Jack’s Mannequin eventually emerged to a sold-out venue, playing tunes off their most recent album, People & Things, as well as songs from the first two albums. Front man Andrew McMahon (formerly of Something Corporate), who beat leukemia in 2005, was recently named a Stand Up To Cancer celebrity ambassador following the founding of his Dear Jack Foundation, a charity that raises awareness and supports young adults diagnosed with cancer. Jack’s Mannequin put on a show that had everyone in attendance singing and swaying along, and finished the show with an extra three-song encore.
