After 2004′s “wardrobe malfunction” with Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake the halftime shows for the NFL have been taking a back seat to the game and the commercials. The halftime shows used to be a main attraction to the game for some viewers, but since that performance the NFL has taken a more cautious approach to their live entertainment.
Now, according to Sbnation.com, Madonna is to perform at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana for this year’s halftime show on February 5, 2012. Nowadays, she may only be “Borderline” controversial, but she has been known to push the envelope. It should be an interesting to see what happens during halftime this year.
After last year’s performances by Usher, Slash, and Black Eyed Peas could this be another step toward more entertaining and more theatrics at the halftime shows?
